“The story of the blue suit” aired on Le Journal de 20h de TF1, Friday, November 22, 2019
It is in the 19th century that the blue work shirt was born. At the time, it was reserved for workers who needed durable clothing. It is now worn by fashion victims.
This blue workwear has been seducing the fashion world for the last few years, and Lafont has seized this opportunity by teaming up with designer Louis-Marie de Castelbajac, son of the famous Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, giving birth to the collection Lafont 1844 .
The collection features many revisited classics: tone-on-tone workwear, with reflective nylon night stripes or small cuff pockets, secret pockets in almost every jacket. The young designer also revisits work overalls as well as overalls, for more slim and fitted products. His goal: “To create contemporary and timeless workwear, going back to the originals and enriching them with certain details.”
