Matt Abé

A perfectionist who constantly pushes his limits

Matt began his career in his native Australia, spending years developing his craft as a chef at Aria Restaurant in Sydney and then in Melbourne. Matt moved to the UK in 2003 and began working at Gordon Ramsay at Claridge’s as a Chef de Partie.

I chose to become an ambassador for the LAFONT brand because I really liked their products and the opportunity to participate in the development of other products won me over. The brand has incredible quality and attention to detail, two key elements that I judge myself on every day

Matt Abé's story

In 2009, Matt joined the 3-star MICHELIN restaurant Gordon Ramsay and after four years was promoted to Chef de Cuisine, leading the kitchen team. In September 2020, he became the head chef of the Gordon Ramsay restaurant, overseeing the successful management of one of the most famous restaurants in the world, holding 3 MICHELIN stars since 2001.
